Background
Miguel received his B.S. in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, under the guidance of Prof. Jim G. Minglana. He obtained his Ph.D in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley in the research group of Prof. Jeffrey R. Long, where his research focused on the structural characterization of framework–guest interactions in metal–organic frameworks by in situ single-crystal X-ray diffraction and the design of metal–organic frameworks for catalysis. He was an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Daniel G. Nocera at Harvard University, where his work focused on observing and controlling the reactivity chlorine radicals and other reactive intermediates. He joined the Department of Chemistry at Dartmouth College as an Assistant Professor in 2023.

Background
Krishanu completed his master's (M.Sc.) in chemistry from IIT Guwahati, India. He then received his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (CSIR-IICB), India, where he worked in Dr. Ramalingam Natarajan's group. His doctoral research work focused on functional covalent and metal-organic cages, cocrystals, and peptide-based nanostructures for supramolecular applications. Next, he worked with Prof. Chenfeng Ke's group at Dartmouth College on the development of functional porous polymeric frameworks for the sorption of toxic gases, industrial dyes, and reactive catalysts. After that, he joined Prof. Miguel I. Gonzalez's lab at Dartmouth College, where he is currently working on the development of functional porous interfaces and strategies to control nanocluster growth.

Background
Zhou Deng (Class of 2022), is originally from Fujian Province, China. He received his bachelor's degree at Nankai University in 2020, which is located in Tianjin Province. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant at the same university for two years, studying room-temperature phosphorescence material and fluorescence probes. He likes playing the electronic organ and fishing in his spare time.

Hassaan graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences in June, 2023 with degrees in Chemistry and Physics. He left the very hot Lahore summers in pursuit of some snow and a lot radical initiated Chemistry. His work focuses on developing radical initiated single-site specific C–H activation methods using solid-state alignment. Outside of the lab he is fond of reading, museums, art history, staying fit, and exploring new cities. 🌈
Michael Curtin

Background
Michael, from nearby Massachusetts, graduated in 2024 from Furman University in South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree. While there, he worked under Dr. Timothy Hanks investigating halogen bonding as well as the synthesis of polymerizable lipid nanodiscs. After graduating, he joined the Chemistry Department at Dartmouth College hoping to advance his understanding of the science. He is mainly interested in synthetic chemistry, and currently works on the selective photochemical activation of C–H bonds in the solid-state. Outside of the lab Michael enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing the electric bass, and learning new things.

Jonathan completed his Biochemistry degree at The University of Oregon (B.S.). During his undergraduate career Jonathan researched synthesizing and detecting small molecule gasotransmitters. He is particularly excited about creating new architectures for metallic organic cages and using them in catalysis and sensing. In his free time, he likes to hike big mountains, read, and hang out with his cats.
